Faye Armstrong

Faye Armstrong, age 55, of Dahlonega, GA, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Faye was born in Lumpkin County December 14, 1954 and had lived in the Lumpkin County area most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Faye was the daughter of the late James Alfred Sullens and Vassie Viola Rider Sullens Sosebee, and was also preceded in death by her sister, Imogene Dover; and brother, Robert Sullens.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Smith, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Martha Faye Armstrong, Comer, GA, Shirley and John Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA, Edna Rider, Dahlonega, GA, Kathy Rider, Dahlonega, GA, and Dawn Leann White, Dahlonega, GA; stepfather, Talmadge Sosebee, Dahlonega, GA; brothers, James A. Sullens, Dahlonega, GA, Michael Sullens, Dahlonega, GA, and Lester Sullens, Luthersville, GA; sisters, Mattie White, Luthersville, GA, Louise Johnson, Gainesville, GA, Lucille Garrison, Dahlonega, GA, and Hazel Heavrin, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Grizzle and Christopher Grizzle; great-grandchild, Keylee Grace Grizzle. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday Jan. 25, 2010 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Kenneth Armstrong will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 PM until 9 PM and all day on Sunday.
