Verbie Grizzle McClure

Mrs. Verbie Grizzle McClure, age 58, of Gainesville, GA died Sunday January 24, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. McClure was born in Lumpkin County May 9, 1951 and had lived in Hall County for the past 38 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County and was employed at Chestatee Middle School in Hall County.

She was the daughter of the late George Tate Grizzle and Margaret Mozelle Ridley Grizzle and was also preceded in death by sister, Violet Mae Blackwell; brother, Vernon Grizzle, and 4 infant sisters and brothers.

Verbie is survived by her husband of more that 38 years, Clarence McClure, Gainesville, GA; brothers, Venson Grizzle, Rome, GA and Verlon Grizzle, Blairsville, GA; sisters, Velma Sullens, Canton, GA, Vinnie Rodgers, Rome, GA, Viola Holden, Summerville, GA, Vienna Jones, Summerville, GA, and Verdie Grizzle, Panama City, FL. A large number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. McClure are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday Jan 27, 2010 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Grant will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home all day on Tuesday starting at 12 Noon and again on Wednesday until the time of the service.
