Mr. Joseph Whitaker

Mr. Joseph Whitaker age 59, of Cleveland, passed away Monday January 25, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Merck will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitaker was born in Cedartown, GA on May 19, 1950 to the late Joseph and Willie Mae Foster Whitaker. He was a graduate of Pharmacy School at the University of GA. Mr. Whitaker was the owner of Griffin Drug Co. for the past 17 years.

Survivors include his wife Hazel Marie Whitaker, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Scott and Brandi Whitaker; Keith and Betsy Whitaker; son, Curt Whitaker; daughters and sons in law, Ginger and Joe Davis; Brittany and Bryan Picou, all of Cleveland; sister Annie Mims, Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Mathew, Anna, and Isabella Whitaker; Joseph Davis; Briley Picou, all of Cleveland.
