Mr. Marshall Edward Lipscomb of Cincinnati, OH (formerly of Gillsville, GA), age 79, passed away on January 24, 2010. He is survived by two nieces, Loris (Thomas) Chandler-Harrison, Meloney Johnson; one nephew Anthony Wimpye, of whom he raised. Two daughters, Cheryl (Lindsay) Jacks of Atlanta, GA, Vanessa (Edward) Hendrix of Colorado; three sons, Edward James (Betty) Shields of Las Vegas, NV, Welcomb (Berlinda) Lipscomb and Richard Ross, both of Gainesville; one sister Vera Lipscomb Earls and one step-sister Mary Carruth; sister-in-laws; Louise Lipscomb of Gainesville and Nina Lipscomb of Cincinnati, OH also survive.
Viewing will be held Friday, January 29, 2010 from 9:00am to 6:00pm at the Wimberly & Jackson Chapel. Visitation will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 30th, followed by the Homegoing Celebration at 12:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 5040 Pleasant Hill Rd in Gillsville, GA.
