Helen Lois Hill, age 78, of Gainesville passed away Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Parkway Presbyterian Church in Cumming. The Rev. Bill Ford will officiate. A small reception will be held at the church after the service.
Born in Gulfport, MS, on April 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Lucy Nelson. She was retired from Century 21 Real Estate.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elbert Hill, son Wayne Douglas Hill and sister, Shirley Nelson.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Cotton and Donald Gibbs of Demorest; granddaughter, Kristen Lynn Hill of Gainesville; grandson, David Michael Cranford of Nevada; sisters, Jean Bruffey of Douglasville, Ann Dobbs of Mississippi, Tena Hobbs of Iowa; brothers, Archie Nelson of Dacula, George Nelson of Tennessee, Bill Junior Nelson of Washington, Tommy Nelson of Mississippi, Donny Nelson of Mississippi and a number of nieces and nephews.
