Gordon Davis

Mr. Gordon Davis, age 87, of Dahlonega, Ga. died Tuesday February 9, 2010 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, Ga.

Mr. Davis was born in Tennessee. He had lived in Dahlonega since 1964. Mr. Davis was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church and was a deacon. He was also a deacon at Coopers Creek Baptist Church for many years.

He was the son of the late June Davis and Vesta Dodd Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Davis; son, David Davis; and brothers, Jewell Davis and J.T. Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by daughters, Nancy Harkins, Dahlonega, Shirley Sullens, Dawsonville, Vesta Martin, Dahlonega; sons, Lewis Davis, Dahlonega, Bobby Davis, Arkansas, Harold Davis, Coopers Creek, Union County, Gordon Bobby Davis, Dahlonega. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis are scheduled for 1PM Friday February 12, 2010 at Cane Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Ernest Fortner and Rev. L.C. Truelove will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 11, 2010 from 3 PM until 9 PM.
