William Hayden David

Mr. William Hayden David, age 79, of Nicholson died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. David was born in Jackson County to the late John William and Addie Mae Duncan David. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. David was retired from the USDA as a poultry inspector and was a member of the Nicholson Fire Department. In addition to his parents, Mr. David was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Banks David.

Mr. David is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jennifer David of Braselton, Eric and Gail David of Nicholson and Michael and Myra David of Nicholson; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Clark, Rev. Bill Manus and Rev. Nancy Boorman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night, February 20th, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
