W. B.(Bill) Clark

W. B."Bill" Clark, age 76, of Gainesville died February 28, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center from an extended illness.

Mr. Clark was a native of Hall County. He was a member of Rock Hill Church. Mr. Clark owned and operated Bill Clark Grocery Store for many years and retired from Reliance Electric Company. Most of all, he enjoyed his farm and gardening before and after his retirement.

Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his wife Kate; his parents, J.B. and Nellie Gilstrap Clark; and a sister, Dot Ballew.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda Clark, Denise and Gilbert Adams of Gainesville; one son and daughter-in-law, Nick and LaVenia Clark of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Kenda and Zach Sosebee, Michael Adams and Jessie Clark; two great-grandchildren, Coltyn Sosebee and Katie Sosebee; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Mary Clark and Harold and Henrietta Clark of Gainesville; one sister, Doris Watson of Flowery Branch; five brothers-in-law and their wives, Bob Clark, Tom Clark, Charlie Clark, Wayne and Joyce Clark and Pud and Bennie Clark; two sisters-in-law and husband, Margie and Young Peck and Willie Pendley; special friend, Montree Stephens.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. from the Rock Hill Church. Mr. Clark will lie in state from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., interment will be in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010.
