Patricia Ann Perry

Patricia Ann Perry, age 85, a resident of Lumpkin County, passed away Thursday March 11, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following complications due to a stroke.

Pat Perry was born on October 16, 1924, in Holden, West Virginia. She moved to Pinellas Park, Florida, with her husband in 1947 and enjoyed living in the North Georgia Mountains during their retirement years.

She was a helpmate to her husband of 65 years, was a devoted mother to her four sons, and cherished her role as Grandma Perry.

Pat was preceded in death by her son, Timothy James Perry. She is survived by her husband, Jack Perry, Dahlonega; sons and daughters-in-law John and Susan Perry, Dahlonega, David and Debora Perry, Woodstock, Daniel Perry, Dahlonega, and Lori Perry, Umatilla, Florida; and sister, Audrey Saunder, Huntington, West Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christy Vaughn, Tim Perry, Jonathan Perry, Cheyanne Perry, John Perry, Hunter Perry, Elizabeth Perry, and Emily Perry; and great-grandchildren Henry, Jackson, Savannah, and Trevor. A number of other relatives also survive.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Berea Baptist Church, Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of arrangements.
