Shirley Herrington, 74, of Gainesville died Thursday March 24, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Thomaston, Georgia, Mrs. Herrington had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended the Free Chapel Worship Center. Mrs. Herrington is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Herrington and a son, Michael Herrington.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Herrington, Gainesville, Jan and Doug Bennett, Gainesville, Sabrina and Richie Wofford, Dawsonville; mother, Mable Edwards, Cornelia; grandchildren, Michelle Oja, Florida, Jacob Herrington, Chasity Bennett, Devin Wofford and Blakley Wofford, all of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Keenan Wiggins, Gainesville, Kenisha Wiggins, Florida; sisters, Debbie Stover, Gainesville, Annette Medvec, Elizabeth, New Jersey; brothers, Bobby Edwards and James Edwards, both of Cornelia; a number of others relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dwayne Wellborn will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
