Jessie Dean Garrison Turk

Obituary Date: Friday, March 26, 2010
Ms. Jessie Dean Garrison Turk, age 77 of Florence Drive, Gainesville, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.



Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 29, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor W.E. McCumber will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.



Ms. Turk was born July 17, 1932 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Marvin T. and Georgie Hulsey Garrison. She was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing Co. Ms. Turk was known at the Pendergrass Flea Market as the Avon Woman. Ms. Turk was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Turk. She was also of the Baptist faith.



The Turk family would like to say special thanks to the Fourth floor (North Tower) nursing staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and to Dr. Barry Munn, and also to the Bell Minor Home.



Ms. Turk is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Mike Parker of Oakwood, GA; granddaughter and husband, Alana and Dr. Braxton Turner of Gainesville, GA; grandson and wife, Jon and Katie Parker of Flowery Branch, GA; grandson, Josh Parker of Oakwood, GA; great-grandchildren, Bailey Turner, Taylor Ruth Turner, Luke Turner and Zoe Parker; a special aunt, Ruby Bryant of Gainesville, GA, and sister-in-law, Barbara Turk of Oakwood, GA.
