Donald Alexander Lawson, Jr., age 74, of Cleveland passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, following an extended illness.
Mr. Lawson was born on June 22, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Donald Alexander, Sr. and Beatrice Lawson. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carolyn C. Lawson and Judy A. Lawson. Mr. Lawson was of the Protestant Faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran having proudly served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lawson was retired from the IBM Corporation with 30 plus years of dedicated service and a master wood craftsman/master model builder.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Tina Lawson, Woodstock, NY, Christopher D. and Suzette Lawson, New Bern, NC, Jason and Stacie St. Germaine, Demorest; and 2 grandchildren, Christopher D. Lawson, Jr. and Jordan St. Germaine.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Connie Berry officiating.
The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010.
