Lee E. Pittman

Lee E. Pittman, 84, of Dawsonville died Friday May 7, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born February 5, 1926 in Walton County to the late David and Mattie Pittman, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 42 years having moved from Atlanta. Mr. Pittman was employed for 27 years by Warren Refrigeration Co. after which along with his wife owned and operated a cattle and poultry farming operation until his retirement. He served on the Board of Directors for Sawnee E.M.C. for 23 years, was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years, was Past Master of Chestatee Lodge # 102 F & AM, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Payne and Marie Walston.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Fostelle Pittman, Dawsonville; sons and daughters in law, Richard and Delores Pittman, Dawsonville, Farrel Neil and Debbie Pittman, Gainesville; grandchildren, Kenneth Lee and Laura Pittman, Dawsonville, Mary-Katherine Pittman, Gainesville, Elizabeth Garnet Pittman, Gainesville, and seven great grandchildren.
