Wylene Conner Samples

Mrs. Wylene Conner Samples, age 90, a native of Forsyth County, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marcellas James Samples and her son, Michael James Samples. Mrs. Samples taught school in Forsyth County for 46 years. She graduated from North Georgia College and the University of Georgia with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She had the honor of 50 years of service teaching Sunday school at the First Baptist Church of Cumming and taught after the 50 years until health problems occurred.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Calvin Karr of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Royce Alan and Joan Samples of Cumming; grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Karr, Marcie and Randy Pruitt, and Russell Samples all of Cumming; great grandchild, Maci Pruitt of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Dot Conner of Kennesaw; sisters, Mattie Watson of Cumming and Irene Brown of Marietta; sister-in-law, Judy Conner of Gainesville; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 3:00pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Bennett, Rev. Rodney Allen and Dr. Bob Jolly officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17th from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Tuesday, May 18th from 9:00 am until the hour of service.
