Clifford L. (Tip) Echols

Mr. Clifford L. (Tip) Echols, age 80, a native of Lawrenceville, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Holbrook Echols; sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Linda Echols of Duluth, Tony Echols of Dahlonega, Ken and Katy Echols of Good Hope; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Tim Timmers, Jr. of Dahlonega, Louise and Danny Lanning of Lawrenceville; step-daughters, Angie Wages and Debbie Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Nellie Echols of Sharpsburg, sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Glen Caswell of Crabapple; 12 grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He was born on April 6, 1930, son of Herman and Grace Echols. He grew up in Forsyth County Haw Creek area in Cumming, GA. Mr. Echols worked for Foremost Dairies for 45 years. In his retirement, he loved to play golf, work in the garden and spend time with his family. He attended Lawrenceville Church of God where he proudly worshipped his Lord. His family and friends have comfort knowing he is at peace enjoying his heavenly home.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at Haw Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Phillips officiating.
