Shelby Sorrells Westray

Mrs. Shelby Sorrells Westray, age 73 and native of Forsyth County, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Garland and Jeanette Sorrells.

Survivors include her husband, Alton Westray of Forsyth County; children, Sherri and Winston Taylor and Regina and Russell Patterson all of Forsyth County; grandchildren, David Patterson and Lauren Dale, Scott Patterson, Laura and Wesley Pruitt and Michael Ott all of Forsyth County; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Ray and Lynn Jennings, Doug and Remelba Sorrells all of Forsyth County, Rita and Roger Shadburn of Dahlonega, GA, Judy and Jerry Holbrook. Janet and Lane Millwood all of Forsyth County and Billy and Barbara Sorrells of Navarre Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, at 11:00 am at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix, Rev. Don Westray and Rev. Doug Carnes officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until the hour of the service.
