Tech Sgt. Arnold H. Adams

Ret. Tech Sgt. Arnold H. Adams, age 78 of Turnerville, passed away Monday, June 07, 2010, at Habersham County Medical Center following injures sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Montgomery County, GA on December 19, 1931, he was the son of the late Ernest Everett and Lillie Jo McCallister Adams. Mr. Adams served his country proudly as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force where he retired as Tech Sergeant. After retiring from the US Air Force, he later went on to also retire from North Georgia Technical College as a skilled craftsman. Mr. Adams attended Turnerville Church of God and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking and bird watching. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy Adams and Frank Adams.
Surviving are wife of 54 years, Mary Densmore Adams of Turnerville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lainie & Stan Johnson of Helen and Terry & Steve Hooper of Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony & Joyce Adams and Shane & Sherry Adams all of Turnerville; grandchildren, John Johnson, Nikhoma Johnson, Zack Hooper, Adam Hooper, Hannah Hooper, A. J. Adams, Hilary Adams, Megan Adams, Chelsea Adams, Austin Adams and Kaleb Adams; great grandson, River Dockins; sisters, Maxine Conner of Savannah and Mary Rose Terry of Cayce, SC; brothers, Carlos Eugene Adams of Statesboro and Joe Mack Adams of Hinesville, GA.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Turnerville Church of God with Rev. Ted Ansley, Rev. Austin Ivester and Rev. Gerald Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Wednesday. The family is at the residence.
