Ronald Ridley

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Ronald Wesley Ridley, age 70 of Dahlonega. Mr. Ridley passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 22 , 2010 from Yahoola Baptist Church with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. the Rev. Dean Bryant and the Rev. Stephen Adams officiating. Mr. Ridley will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ridley was born on July 21, 1939 to the late Ralph Edward Ridley and Dorothy Turner Ridley. Mr. Ridley was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where he was a Machinist by trade and was a member of Yahoola Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ridley is preceded in death by his sister, Wilda Ridley and brother, Lamar Ridley.

Survivors include his wife, of 51 years, Martha Sue Ridley, Dahlonega; daughters and sons in law, Sharon and Jamie Satterfield, Charlotte, N.C.; Ronna and Clark Anderson, Dahlonega; Donna and Keith Anderson, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers in law, Juanita and Willard Barrett, Dahlonega; Elaine and Charles Wimpy, Dahlonega; Gaye and Tim Phillips, Dahlonega; brothers and sisters in law Dennis and Vikki Ridley, Dahlonega; Curt and Sheilah Ridley, Dahlonega. Mr. Ridley is also survived by his six grandchildren, Jacob and Caroline Satterfield; Sara Beth and Cara Anne Anderson and Ellie and Emma Anderson as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral on Sunday and Monday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM
