Gladys Lee (Ring) Scritchfield Bramlett

Mrs. Gladys Lee (Ring) Scritchfield Bramlett, age 86, of Gainesville, GA, died Wed., June 30, 2010. Mrs. Bramlett was born Mar. 21, 1924 in the Caney Spring community of Marshall Co., TN and was a daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie Osteen Ring. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School and sang alto in the choir. Mrs. Bramlett was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gail Scritchfield who was killed in service during World War II. Also preceding her in death was her 2nd husband of 38 years, James Bramlett and a brother, Tommy Ring.


Survivors include her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Jan Scritchfield of Bogart, GA; Norman and Janice Bramlett of Alpharetta, GA; Chuck and Apryl Bramlett of Flowery Branch, GA; a sister, Nell Ring of Mason, OH; 7 granddaughters and 7 great grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 4 pm - 9 pm, Fri., July 2, 2010 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm, Sat., July 3,2010 at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring community of Marshall Co.
