Paul David Ross

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Paul David Ross, age 88 of Clarkesville. Mr. Ross past away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Devon O'Kelly and Rev. Jerry Vandiver officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth.

Mr. Ross was born on October 20, 1921 in Hart County, Kentucky to Frank Ross and Mattie Lee Burd. He served with Honor in the United States Army during WWII earning a Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon. He was the former owner of the PennySaver Grocery in Mulberry. Florida and moved to Habersham County in 1999, where he was a member of Friendly Mission Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Hatfield Ross.

Survivors include his son, David Ross, Duluth; daughters, Jeannie Rawdin, Sautee; Sharon Williams, Pansy, Alabama, special friends the Betty Jones family. Mr. Ross is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00Am until the funeral hour

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Friendly Mission Baptist Church
