Suzanne Irvin Porter

Mrs. Suzanne Irvin Porter, age 61, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

A Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 17, 2010 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel Gainesville, GA. Reverend Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Porter was born in Columbia, South Carolina but moved to Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High School's Class of 1967. She was a preschool teacher's aid at First Baptist Church. Suzanne had many loves in her life, but the most was her love for her family and her grandsons, Beau and Wake. She attended First Baptist Church of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue (Kinsler) Irvin; husband, Kenneth Porter and a brother, Clark Irvin, III.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Sharon Porter of Missouri and Joey and Stacy Porter of Gainesville; grandsons, Beau Porter and Wake Porter; father and step-mother, Joe and Carol Irvin of Flowery Branch; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Gary Duvall, Cleveland; nephew and wife, Henry and Kristen Irvin and niece, Anna Irvin.
