Glenn Welchel Westmoreland

Obituary Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010
Mrs. Glenn Welchel Westmoreland, age 97 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Bell-Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.



Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Memorial Park North Riverside Funeral Home with interment to follow in the South Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Milton Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.



Mrs. Westmoreland was born September 21, 1912 in Hall County to the late John and Madge Gaines Welchel. She retired from Riverbend Elementary School with over 30 years of serving students in the lunchroom. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jewette Westmoreland and also by her sisters, Ruth Barrett, Ellen Gravitt and Mary Roberts; brothers, Bud Welchel and Gene Welchel.



Mrs. Westmoreland is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Belinda Westmoreland of Clermont; grandson and wife, Trent and Christie Westmoreland of Clermont; great-granddaughter, Paige Westmoreland and great-great-granddaughter, Lola Robinson both of Clermont.



Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 3051 is in charge of arrangements.
