Bobby Burt

Bobby Burt, 64, of Dawsonville died Monday September 27, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness.

Born October 17, 1945 in Dawson County, he had lived in Lumpkin County for over 40 years. Mr. Burt was a self employed metal fabricator and was formerly a professional wrestler and promoter. He was preceded in death by his father, Rob Burt; brother, Hayne Burt; and sister, Lillie Belle Burt.

Surviving are his mother, Sallie Burt, Dawsonville; sisters, Floy Sheffield, Winder, Ruby Crane, Duluth; brothers, Jim Burt, Dawsonville, Mike Burt, Dawsonville; special nieces, Jeannie Burt, Dawsonville, Pat Armstrong, Cumming, and a number of other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 1, 2010 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rual Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
