Gloria Maddox

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Gloria Denise Maddox, age 47 of Helen. Mrs. Maddox passed away Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at her residence following a period of declining health

Mrs. Maddox was born on July 19, 1963 to the late Dean and Gloria Jean Strickland. She graduated from North Georgia College with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Management. She was employed for 22 years at the Alpine Crest Resort as General Manager

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Maddox, of Helen; daughter, Lucy Anna Nichole Maddox, Helen; brothers, Dean Strickland, Jr. and Daniel Strickland, both of Cornelia; and sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Jeff Standridge of Gillsville; aunts and uncles, Dr. E.W. & Virginia Holloway and Bobby and Cathy Waldrop; nieces and nephews, Adam and Andrew Strickland, Mitch and Madison Standridge and Brittney Standridge as well as a host of cousins and additional relatives

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 9 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 Pm, Sunday, October 10, 2010 from the funeral home chapel Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Wilkes officiating.
