Minnie Lou Carroll

Mrs. Minnie Lou Carroll, age 80, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Carroll was born in Jackson County, GA to the late Paul and Minnie Mae Gee Slater. She was a member of Little Country Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Carroll.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her daughter, Rachel Dickerson; sons, Donald and Steve Carroll all of Commerce, GA; brothers, Willie, Clifford and Johnny Slater all of Commerce, GA; sisters, Dorothy Kitchens of Hull, GA, Gertrude McDaniel and Barbara McEver both of Commerce, GA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, October 21 at Little Country Church with Rev. Charles Elrod and Rev. Wendell Hanley officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
