James Robert Arnold Sr

Evans Funeral Home announces the death Mr. James Robert Arnold Sr., age 67, of Hull, formerly of Jackson County, who passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Mr. Arnold was born on July 3, 1943 in Jackson County, a son to the late Clyde and Elizabeth Potts Arnold. Mr. Arnold was retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service as a Chief Boatswain's Mate, and during the Vietnam War. Mr. Arnold was self-employed after retiring from the Navy. He loved life and his family. His sister, Kay Page, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Neva Fields Arnold, of Hull, children, Donna and Tim Anthony, Jefferson, Jimbo and Connie Arnold, Hull, Tammy and Preston Farmer, Nicholson, grandchildren, Jeremy Moore, Josh and Erica Arnold, Casi and Tyler Arnold, Danielle Hanson, TJ Anthony and Hunter Farmer, great grandchildren, Caiden and Peyton Arnold, brothers, Hope and Carolyn Arnold, Athens, Frankie and Barbara Arnold, Athens, lifelong friends, John Blevins and George Lemmons.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2PM in the Brockton Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Mealor officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with Dwight Page, Rusty Arnold, Aubrey Arnold, Scott Henson, Michael Nelms and Henry Strickland honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
