James Yonce

Obituary Date: Saturday, November 6, 2010


Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Monday November 8 at Lebanon United Methodist Church for Mr. James Douglas"Doug" Yonce age 66 of Gillsville. The Rev. Marshall Dale and Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:30pm to 2:00pm at the church. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Yonce passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Mr. Yonce was born in Jackson County but had lived most of his life in Hall County . He was the son of the late Roy Yonce Sr. and Frankie Williams Yonce. He had worked for Chicopee Manufacturing for 21 years and Kubota Manufacturing for 16 years and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church . He was preceded in death by his brothers John Hayes Yonce and Jack Ray Yonce.

Survivors include Wife Janice Yonce, Gillsville, Son and Daughter-in-law Greg and Tina Yonce, Gillsville, Daughters and Sons-in-law Melony and Eric Nelson, Camp Lejeune, NC, Miriam and Adam Kall, Gillsville, Brother Roy Yonce Jr, Commerce, Brother and Sister-in-law Roger and Margaret Yonce, Gillsville, Sister Joann Yonce, Commerce, Grandchildren Brandie Nelson Donlan, Brooke Nelson, Brianne Nelson, Jacob Yonce, Jessa Yonce, Jenna Yonce, Hunter Thomason, and Great Grandchild Pierson James Nelson.
