Betty Jane Davis

Betty Jane Davis, 83, of Dawsonville Passed away Sunday November 7, 2010 at her residence.

Born February 17, 1927 in Big Cove Tannery, Pennsylvania to the late John and Lelia Culler, she had lived in Dawson County since 1996. Mrs. Davis retired from Rich's Bake Shop in Atlanta and enjoyed square dancing and round dancing with the "Merry Mixers" club. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a member of McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church and was also preceded in death by a brother, Merill Culler and sister, Marjorie Glenn.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Carl E. Davis, Dawsonville; son, Douglas S. Davis, Dawsonville; granddaughters, Alicia Davis Pettyjohn, Dawsonville, Krista Davis Mitic, Hinesville, GA, Danielle Davis Rodriguez, Demorest, GA; sisters, Jean Weller, McConnellsburg, PA, Dolores Souders, McConnellsburg, Martha Gordon, McConnellsburg, Patricia Horton, McConnellsburg, Soundra Shaffer, Harrisburg, PA; brothers, H. J. Culler, McConnellsburg, Donald Culler, McConnellsburg, Gerald Culler, McConnellsburg; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 11, 2010 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
