George Otis Parson

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for George Otis Parson, 65, of Maysville who died on Thursday evening at his residence. Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Bynum and Ora Dean Emmett Parson and was married to Mildred Hutchins Parson of the residence. Survivors, along with his wife inclue two daughters, Kimberly Lewallen of Commerce and Christa Poe of Maysville; brothers, Dairl Parson of Maysville, Waymon Parson and Sam Parson, both of Commerce and Steve Parson, also of Maysville, 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Maysville with Rev. Swayne Carlan and Rev. Luke Parson officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:30 until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Grove Level Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9 p.m. and at other times at the residence, located at 330 West Ridge Road in Maysville.
