Raymond Thomas Chosewood

Raymond Thomas Chosewood, age 82 of Alto, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011, following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham County on January 03, 1929, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ethel Roper Chosewood. Mr. Chosewood was a member of Enon Baptist Church and was retired from Schnadig Furniture. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Ambrose, Mildred Chosewood and Ruby Hall; a brother, Lamar "Bud" Chosewood.
Surviving are wife of 61 years, Hazel Kimsey Chosewood of the home; daughter, Kathy C. Tart of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan C. and Dan Tomlin of Alto, Gail C. and Carey Gordon, Sr. of Alto, Pamela C. and Henry Rowe of Murphy NC, Cheryl C. and Jeff McGahee of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, R. Lance and Jane Chosewood of Stockbridge, GA and Rex T. and Leah Chosewood of Alto; brothers, William Chosewood of Alto and Grady Chosewood of Hollywood; sisters, Hazel Lewallen of Cornelia and Grace Walton of Calhoun, GA; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gene Poole officiating.
