James Clyde Woodall

James Clyde Woodall, age 84 of Airport Road Baldwin, GA. passed away January 15, 2011, in his home after a extended illness.
Born on May 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lila Sosbee Woodall. Mr. Woodall served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church and was retired from Clarkesville Mill. Mr. Woodall was a hard worker, a good man, very pleasant, always smiling and never met a stranger. He loved his family very deeply, loved motorcycles and was an avid animal lover especially of his cats, Mousey & Garfield. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death a brother, Grady Woodall and sister, Grace Bryant.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years Evelyn Ferguson Woodall of the home, daughter & son-in-law Jackie and Donald Defoor of Clarkesville; granddaughter, Carla Eller and fiancé Stacy Smith of Baldwin; grandson, Chief Warrant Officer 3 of the United States Army, Chad Eller and his wife Lisa Eller of Dietenhofen, Germany; great granddaughters, Robin Whitworth of Clarkesville, Jana Eller of Dietenhofen, Germany; brothers, Homer Woodall of Gainesville, Paul Woodall of Stone Mountain, Ernest Woodall of Long Island, NY; several nieces and nephews and longtime caregivers, Andrea Dubois and Rhonda Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev Kendall Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 pm on Tuesday.
