Floyd Henry Barron

Funeral services for Floyd Henry Barron, age 80 of Clarkesville will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Grady Walden will officiate with burial to follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barron passed away Sunday, February 06, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born November 16, 1930 in Clarkesville, Georgia, Mr. Barron was the son of the late James and Cona Black Barron. After high school Mr. Barron attended Piedmont College and he was also a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Barron was self employed and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barron is preceded in death by his wife Ann Kimsey Barron, siblings Earl, Rebeca, Gerald, and Donald Barron, in laws Bruce and Cora Kimsey, and brother in law Ronald Kimsey.

Survivors include daughter Roxie Barron of Dacula, son Grant Barron of Gallatin, Tennessee, daughter Roxanne Braswell of Gallatin, Tennessee, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
