Rose Gosnell Standridge

Mrs. Rose Gosnell Standridge, age 53 of Gillsville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Kokomo, Indiana on January 17, 1958, she was a daughter of Laura Jane Morris Gosnell of Cornelia, Georgia and the late Raymond Douglas Gosnell. Mrs. Standridge was a poultry worker and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Wendell Standridge, Gillsville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Amy Gosnell, Mt. Airy, GA; sons, Jason Standridge, Baldwin, GA; Clifton Standridge, Lula, GA; daughters, Brandie Moore Bell, Christy Moore, both of Baldwin, GA; Kimberly Ridlehoover, Cornelia, GA; sisters, Vicki Ramirez, Cindy Herbert, Pamela Stephens, Teresa Standridge, all of GA; Deborah Young, FL; Diane Gosnell, IN; brothers, Jack Gosnell, Mike Gosnell, Joe Gosnell, Eddie Gosnell, all of GA; Danny Gosnell, KY; Gary Gosnell, James Gosnell, both of NY; Keith Gosnell, FL; Steve Gosnell, Richard Gosnell, both of SC; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Grandchild on the way; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin. The Rev. Billy Burrell and the Rev. Mike Garroutte will officiate. Mrs. Standridge's wishes were to be cremated after the service.

The family will receive friends at the South Chapel in Baldwin from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to the Rose Gosnell Standridge Memorial Fund c/o Randy Gosnell, 315 Carl Loudermilk Road, Mt. Airy, Georgia 30563.
