Obituary Date: Thursday, February 24, 2011
Philip Daniel Watta, age 71, of Gainesville, GA passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Landmark Regional Hospital, Athens, GA following a brief illness.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 12:00 pm at St. Michale's Catholic Church. Interment to be held Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Memorial Park South Cemetery. Father Nicholas Azar will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Watta was born on January 16, 1940 to the late Bernard and Rose Mary Watta in Detroit Michigan. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus and attended St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Mr. Watta is survived by his sons, Mike Watta of St. Clair Shores, MI, David Watta of Elmhurst, IL, Paul Watta of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, daughter, Judy Watta of Fairfax, VA, brother, Bernard Watta, Jr. of McAllen, TX, sisters, Marge Glenny of Gainesville, and Dianne Watta of Lakeland, FL.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, c/o S.V.D.P., 1440 Pearce Circle, Gainesville, GA 30501.
