Zara Nell Shope

Mrs. Zara Nell Shope, age 75, of Nicholson, GA died Wednesday, March 02, 2011 at BJC Medical Center. Mrs. Shope was born in Jackson County, GA to the late, James Frank and Clara Belle Howington Palmer. She was retired from Reliance Electric.

Mrs. Shope is survived by her husband, Clarence Benton Shope of Nicholson; daughters, Deborah Brasfield of Dacula and Dianne Mize of Commerce; sisters, Dolly Smith and Frances Haggard both of Nicholson and Ethel Waters of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 4 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM.
