William Charles Simpson

William Charles Simpson, 59 of Flowery Branch, Ga. passed away on Saturday March 5, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Simpson was born on Wednesday June 27, 1951 in Hall County, Georgia to William Hubbard Simpson and Maxine Smith Griffin. He was the grandson to Charlie and Willella Simpson and, grandson to Charlie Ray and Lula Smith, He was also great nephew to Agnes Parker. Bill, as many knew him enjoyed fishing and he he was a former member of North Hall Bass Club. He always attended family reunions so he could stay in touch with family members he didn't get to see often. He made a living for most of his life doing drywall, flooring, and working in grocery stores (J & J Foods & Food Lion). Bill would spend time on the computer sharing jokes with friends through emails, or playing with his cat, Nugget, he found as a stray at McDonald's. You never saw Bill without him having a new joke to tell you. He was deeply loved and enjoyed by his family as well. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Nancy Denise Simpson, Flowery Branch, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law; William Brandon and Erica Turner, Temple, GA; Mitchell Ray and Amy Vincent, Sanford, NC; Grandchildren; Kameron, Jaycee, and Luke Turner; Brandon, Matthew, Andrew, and Ava Vincent. Brother-in-law; David Key, Flowery Branch, GA; Siblings sisters and brothers-in-law; Nancy and Norman Clendennin, Willene and Ernest Sullens; Lenora and Tony Jordan; Helen and Jerry Fouts; brother and sister-in-law; Scott and Karan Wilson, and a number of nieces and nephews. Step-sisters and brothers-in-law; Nita and Doug Mays, Linda and Butch Smith, Rita and Wayne Collins, Jean and Jim Hood. Step-brother and daughter-in-law; Ron and Angie Griffin and step-brother, Don Griffin.

Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by his father William Hubbard Simpson, grandparents, Charlie and Willella Simpson, Charlie Ray and Lula Smith, step-father, Henry Griffin, great aunt, Agnes Parker and brother, Joe Simpson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 8, 2011 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Scott Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Monday March 7, 2011.
