Donald J. Ivie, Jr.,

Donald J. Ivie, Jr., age 53, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011.

Mr. Ivie was born on May 30, 1957, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, to Donald J. Ivie, Sr. of Baldwin, Georgia and to the late Helen Boggs Ivie. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jane Ivie. Mr. Ivie was a supervisor with the Fieldale Corporation for over 25 years.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jane "B.J." and David Parham, Cornelia, GA and grandchildren, Jaidyn Ivie Parham and Hailee Parham.


Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Austin Kelley, Rev. Darvin Slaton, and Sister Doris Manning officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
