Sam Patton

Mr. Sam Patton, age 90, of Dahlonega, GA, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Patton was born April 14, 1920 in Black Mountain, NC. He had lived in Lumpkin County for a number of years. He was a WWII Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late James Ralph Patton and Daisy Love Patton and was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Sam is survived by sons, Kenneth Patton and Randy Patton, both of Snellville, GA, and Steve Patton, of Temple, GA. 4 grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11 AM Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Rev. J.R. Fields will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6 PM until 9 PM.
