Clara Daniel Barger

Clara Daniel Barger, 94, of Dawsonville passed away Friday May 13, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.

Born June 26, 1916 in Bowden, Georgia to the late W. T. and Hattie Daniel, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 28 years having moved from Rockmart. A homemaker at her death, for many years she worked as a beautician. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her ambition in life was caring for her family and friends. Clara was a member of Kilough Church by the Lake and was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles William Barger; son, Daniel Lamar Barger; son in law, David Britt; great granddaughter, Gracie Hill; and eleven sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, LaDale Britt, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Angie and Tony Western, Beth and Charlie Hill, Allen Barger; great grandchildren, Danielle Western, Destiny Western, Deanna Western, Zoé Hill; sisters and brother in law, Sylvia and Julius Ellis, Tallapoosa, Dorothy Earwood, Cartersville.

Memorial services will be held Monday May 16, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jeff Burrell and Rev. Gerald Edmondson will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
