Ella Potts Peal

Ella "Sister" Potts Peal, age 82, of Georgetown, Kentucky, formerly of Turnerville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011.

Mrs. Peal was born on March 16, 1929, in White County, Georgia to the late Will and Dolly Hester Potts. She was an avid and loving fan of Alan Jackson and his music, enjoyed gardening, and was an Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Peal was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by three sisters, Eloise Blankenship, Mary Lou Potts, and Betty Jane Griffin.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Eddie Thompson; brothers, Charles "Bill" Potts and Mark "Bob" Potts; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Brandon and Charlotte Thompson; and two great-grandsons, Eric Lee Thompson and Evan Dean Thompson.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Kemp officiating. All family and friends should be at the graveside by 10:55 a.m.
