Betty Sue Harrison Southard

Betty Sue Harrison Southard, age 79, of Cumming, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church and a member of "The 49'ers" the class of 1949 at Cumming High School. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 1/2 years, Bill Southard; mother, Effie Bagley Harrison; father, Oscar Harrison; brothers, Herschel and Hewlett Harrison; sister, Louise Harrison Shirley.

Survivors include her daughter, Margarie Southard; son, Allen Southard; daughter, Norma Southard all of Cumming; sister-in-law, Henrietta Southard of Kennesaw; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, at 3:00 p.m. at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until hour of service at the funeral home.
