Bennie James Scott

Ivie Funearl Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces memorial services for Bennie James Scott, 87, of Athens, who passed away at the University Nursing Home in Athens Sunday. Born in Athens, he was the widower of Frances Howard Scott.

Survivors include children, Patricia Jordan, Sallie Smith and Darnell Scott, all of Athens and Larry Scott of Hull and a number of Grandchildre, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville with Rev. Tommy Cowart and Rev. Derick Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Family Worship Center; POB 80852; Athens 30608.
