Bessie Naomi Miller Chandler

Bessie Naomi Miller Chandler, 94, of J. Cain Rd Gainesville passed away July 11, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Whitehead and Rev. Johnny Stone will officiate with interment to follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 12, 2011 from 6pm-9pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chandler was born Feb. 1, 1917 in Hall County to the late Claude Miller and Lois Massey Miller. She was a member of Springway Baptist Church. She was retired from the Hall County Board of Education where she worked for 10 years in the East Hall lunch room.

She is preceded in death by her husband John A. Chandler, daughter Janette Chandler Cain, and son-in-law Joseph Cain, sister Eliza Miller Bennett, brothers Ralph Miller, Fred Miller, Bill Miller, James (Dean) Miller, Thomas (Tom) Miller.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws Lawrence and Sharon Chandler, Raymond and Runette Chandler, John Travis and Linda Chandler all of Gainesville, Harold and Dolores Chandler of Flowery Branch, daughter Mildred Chandler of Gainesville, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, and 1 step great great grandchild.
