Joseph Dean "Joey" McHan

Joseph Dean "Joey" McHan, 48, of Gainesville passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 27, 2011.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle, stepson, David, his father Dewey and his wife Gaynelle, his sister, Sandy and her husband, Mike, his sister, Barbara and her husband, Gary, and his sister Leisa. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; Alex, Kristina, Kaela, Conner and Patrick. Joey graduated from Johnson High School and was employed at Cottrell, Inc. as a welding technician. Joey's passion was music and he was a truly gifted guitarist. He also played keyboard, harmonica and loved to sing. He was the impetus behind many rock bands and brought much enjoyment to many people with his music. Joey's loving and "happy go lucky" personality touched all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 30, 2011 in the Mason & Ward Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Earl Jarrard will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday July 30, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
