Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. William Francis "Bill"
Cummings, age 71, of Maysville, who passed away on Sunday, August 7,
2011. Mr. Cummings was born in Moultrie, GA, a son to the late A.D.
and Martha Yeoman Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a retired Deputy Warden
from the Jackson County Correctional Institute. Mr. Cummings was a
veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Center Grove Baptist
Church. Mr. Cummings was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne
Chambers and his brother, Nat Cummings.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Cummings, celebrating 47 years of
marriage as of Aug. 8, 2011, Maysville, daughter and husband, Denise
and Bobby Lock, Oakwood, GA, son and wife, Billy and Suzanne Cummings,
Jefferson, son and wife, Denson and Priscilla Cummings, Maysville,
daughter and husband, Kristy and Matt Bailey, Alaska, brothers, Bob
Cummings, Newnan, David Cummings, Danny Perkins and Kenneth Perkins,
all of Griffin, grandchildren, Jennifer and Johnathan Tibbedeaux,
Justin Fowler, Bobby Lock Jr., Steven Lock, Andrew Lock, Brenan and
Adam Ledbetter, Timothy Duke, Ashley Bray, Anthony Cummings, Haylea
Cummings, Joseph Cummings, Kaitlyn Bailey and Lindsey Bailey, great
grandchildren, Emma Fowler, Addy and Mattux Ledbetter, Kyerstin Bray,
the entire Ritchie Family and canine companion, "Little Boy".

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00pm
in the Center Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Gaines officiating.
The burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The visitation will be
held on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
