Edith Grantham

Edith Grantham, age 96 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at New Horizon West Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:00 am in Hillcrest Cemetery, East Point, Georgia. Reverend A. Ray Kuykendall officiated.

Mrs. Grantham was born October 16, 1914 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Byron Burr Bristol and Annie Bell McDonald Bristol. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Church in East Point. Edith was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Grantham.

Mrs. Grantham is survived by her sons, Larry Grantham of Fairburn, Georgia and Jeffery Grantham of Murphy, North Carolina, her daughters, Audrey Sawyer of Gainesville, Carolyn Mangum of Gainesville and Brenda Barrett of Greenville, South Carolina.
