Annie Laura Underwood Elrod

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Annie Laura Underwood Elrod, age 90 of Pendergrass, Georgia who passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Mrs. Elrod was born in Pendergrass, Georgia the daughter of the late Paul and Sarah Smith Underwood, was a retired inspector in the manufacturing industry and a member of Pendergrass Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elrod is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Elrod. Survivors include daughter, Diane Reed of Gainesville, Son, Dennis Elrod of Pendergrass, three grandchildren, Amy Reed, Brook Buckalew, and Brandy Elrod and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Sarah Nell Bruce of Pendergrass, two brothers, Henry Underwood of Pendergrass, J.A. Underwood of Gainesville, and special caregiver, Lisa Lunsford.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from the Pendergrass Baptist Church with Reverend Ervin Goss and Dwayne Major officiating with burial to follow in the Pendergrass Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2011, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Evans Funeral Home, 1350 Winder Highway, Jefferson, Georgia.
