Ruth 'Maw Maw' Hudgins

Mrs. Ruth 'Maw Maw' Hudgins, 88 of Gainesville died Monday August 29, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Hudgins was the daughter of the late Marion Floyd and Rebecca Hawkins Collins. A virtuous woman, she was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Survivors include her son, Donald Hudgins of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Jane Hudgins of Holly Springs, GA; sister-in-law, Edith Collins of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jason and Amanda Hudgins and Emily and Scott Gibson; great grandchildren, Evan Gibson, Aaron Gibson, Bailey Hudgins, Lexie Hudgins, Caleb Hudgins, Sara Hudgins and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hudgins is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mauldin Hudgins, parents, Floyd and Rebecca Collins, brothers, Grady Collins, Grover Collins, Maurice Collins, Otto Collins Artro Collins Bob Collins; and sister, Grace Collins Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 31, 2011 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Olan Hill and Rev. Scott Culpepper will officiate. Interment will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday August 30, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
