John Miller Clark

Dr. John Miller Clark MD age 88 of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA passed away Thursday, September 01, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Dr. Clark was born in Shorewood Wisconsin to the late John A. Clark and Faye Miller Clark. He attended the University of Wisconsin, pre-med and graduated Cum Laude in 1944 and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in 1946. He did his residency at the University of California Los Angeles where he was Board Certified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

Dr. Clark was affiliated with the University of Southern California School of Medicine, and Los Angeles County Hospital, Instructor and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Los Angeles Children's Hospital and Director of Radiology. He was Chief of Medical Staff and Director of the Department of Radiology at the Methodist Hospital of Southern California. Dr. Clark retired in 1989, after 45 years of the practice of Medicine.

After retiring he became a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Wisconsin, an Adjunct Professor at Eckerd Liberal Arts College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He was a Columnist in the City Times Section of the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper. Dr. Clark was a Health Columnist for the White County News in Cleveland, Georgia.

Dr. Clark was a lifetime member of Fellow American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. He was on the Skylake POA Board of Directors, 2004-2006, President in 2005 of Skylake Board Trail Committee and member of the Skylake Men's Club. Dr. Clark was a member of the White County Rotary Club, Board of Health in White County and a member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church.

Dr. Clark was a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Navy 1947-1949 and a member of the Los Angeles Mounted Police. He wrote two books, To Your Health and Happiness in 2008 and Death Ascope in 2011. He was a loving husband, caring and devoted father and role model.

Survivors include his wife, Molly Clark, Sautee; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Tracy Clark, Chandler, AZ; daughters, Kathy Clark; Mary Anne Scott; son, Robert Alderson; sister, Jane Liu; grandchildren, Kaitlin Clark, Taylor Clark, Kayla Alderson, Kyle Alderson, Samuel Scott, Benjamin Scott.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday September 4, 2011 at Nacoochee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chris Shurtz and Dr. Lyndon Eubanks will officiate.
