Ronald Philip Brooks

Ronald "Ronnie" Philip Brooks, age 64, of Oakwood passed away on Thursday, September 08, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery. Reverend Dave Chennell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Brooks was born on August 3, 1947 to the late George and Jimmie Brooks. He served in the Air Force and was employed as a Detention Officer with Dekalb County.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Sharon Hale Brooks; daughter Melissa Brooks of Braselton; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Michael Knight of Oakwood; sister Pat Brooks Galloway of Chamblee; and grand daughters Victoria Wallis and Katherine Knight; and loving nieces and nephews.
